Tactical Competition (戦術対抗戦 ), Arena (アリーナ ), or Tactical Challenge in Global, is a fully automated PvP battle in Blue Archive.
It is unlocked after completing Mission 6 Stage 1.
General Information[]
Overview[]
- Teachers are divided into groups based on when they started teaching, and they compete against each other within the group.
- The initial battles are filled entirely with NPCs and are replaced by other teachers as more battles are played.
- Initially, teachers will be able to see their opponent's full roster, however; as depending on the rank, some of the units will be hidden.
- Reaching the highest ranking, a total of nearly 8000 Pyroxene will be handed out.
- Furthermore, teachers will receive a total of 8150 Pyroxene if they placed 1st on the regular ranking and the seasonal ranking.
- When the season renews, which also resets the ranks. The rewards will be restricted to only Season rewards. Which totals to around 2490 Pyroxene.
- As a tip, try to climb the ranks upon as the season begins while the ranking is still filled with NPCs.
NOTE: THE 8000 Pyroxene INCLUDES BOTH SEASON AND FIRST TIME REWARDS!
- When teachers defeat an opponent, they will switch rank with each other.
- However, should a teacher lose a match, their rank will remain unchanged.
- Teachers can view their Battle History located at the bottom left of the Tactical Challenge lobby, regardless if they win or lose.
- There are seasonal ranking in the Arena and certain features may change to reflect the new season such as Terrain.
- The countdown timer of the season can be seen beside the refresh timer on the top left.
- In the Tactical Challenge screen, there are 3 different opponents to choose from ranging from high to low rank.
- Teachers can choose to refresh an infinite number of times should they dislike the opponents presented.
- The "Refresh" button is located on the top right with a restart arrow.
- The available opponents will be refresh automatically every 2 minutes.
- The opponents will also refresh automatically should the teacher leave the Tactical Challenge lobby.
- When teachers have selected their opponent, they will be brought over to their unit formation and the refresh timer will be located at the bottom right. The countdown will still continue until the teacher begins the battle.
- Should teachers somehow manage to reach below rank 50, they will face few choices for opponents even if they refresh due to less opponents at this rank.
- Teachers can choose to refresh an infinite number of times should they dislike the opponents presented.
Ticket[]
- Teachers will participate in the battle using Tactical Ticket. Tactical TicketCategory:test
- Teachers are given 5 tickets everyday and it resets at 04:00 JST.
- Should a teacher spend all their tickets, they can refill all 5 with 60 Pyroxene.
Battle[]
- VICTORY
The victory condition for the Arena can be obtained through either of these methods:- Defeat all of the opponent's students (STRIKER).
- When the timer runs out, the unit with the highest remaining HP wins.
- To qualify for a win, your (Total Strikers' Current HP / Total Strikers' Maximum HP) must be greater than your opponent's.
- FEVER TIME
When the timer is less than 1 minute, The battle will enter into "Fever Mode" and several things will occur:- The EX-Skill cost gauge will filled up much faster.
- The "Skip" button will become available when the timer is at 2 minutes, allowing teachers to skip the rest of the battle and they will be directed to the result screen.
- Similar to other result screens, teachers will be able to view their students and their damage. In addition, they will also be able to view their opponent's students and damage.
- It should be noted the results do not change regardless if the teacher chooses to skip or remain battling for the last minute.
Attack[]
- The battle is fully automated with the teacher unable to manually control their students.
- Teachers are only able to adjust the battle speed and the pause menu.
- Before a teacher can attack an opponent, they must first set up their own Defense Formation (explained below).
- The students will use their EX Skill in the rotation of Left > Middle > Right as long as there are enough Cost.
- Sometimes, the EX Skill that activates first may decide the entire battle. As such, teachers should look carefully at the Cost and effect of the various EX Skills when planning their unit formation.
- Teachers will receive 1000 Credits upon winning.
- Victories and defeats will be recorded in the Battle History.
Defense[]
- A Defense is when an opponent decides to challenge the teacher's Defense Formation.
- Should the teacher win, this means they succeeded in their defense.
- 3 Tactical Coins will be sent to the teacher's mailbox.
- Should the teacher lose, they will switch rank with their opponent.
- In this case, the losing teacher's rank will decrease.
- Similar to attacking, defenses will be recorded in the Battle History as well as being able to view the opponent who challenged them and the results.
- Should the teacher win, this means they succeeded in their defense.

Time Reward
Gold will be given daily based on teacher's current ranking at it will max-out at 100,000. A red dot will be added on the top right of the "Tactical Competition" button alerting teachers that their gold are max-out.
Time reward is a yellow button sitting on top of the daily reward button.
Daily Reward
Pyroxene and Tactical Coins will be given daily based on teacher's current ranking. Similar to time reward, a red dot will be added indicating that the rewards are ready to be receive.
Daily rewards can be received from 14:00 to 13:59 every day, and the rewards are based on the rankings at the moment teacher click on the yellow receive reward button. Daily reward is a yellow button that is sitting underneath the time reward button.
First Time Reward
These are rewards given once and only once. Each time teachers climb a new rank, they will receive pyroxene for their effort.
For the first season of Tactical Competition, when teachers climb up a new rank, 2 pop-ups will appear. They will receive both "First Time" and "Seasonal" Rewards. If they get 1st place, they will receive 5560 pyroxene for First Time reward and 2490 pyroxene for Season reward making a total of 8150 pyroxene. When the season changes, teachers will only be able to receive seasonal rewards of 2490 pyroxene.
As such, it is recommended that teachers try to climb to 1st place to get all the pyroxene and teachers do not need to maintain 1st place as they will receive pyroxene immediately.
Seasonal Reward
These are rewards given once per season. When the season changes, the ranks will reset, allowing teachers to climbed up the ranks to receive the seasonal rewards. Teachers will only receive the seasonal rewards when the seasons changes as the "First Time" reward are only given once.
Battle Reward
When teachers trigger a battle, for every battle that they win, they will receive 1000 Gold immediately. When their opponent's trigger a battle with the teachers, for every successful defense (aka win), 3 Tactical Coins will be sent to teacher's mailbox.
