Yakushi Saya[]
The other member of the Eastern Alchemy Society, and the only one who remains after Kai's suspension. Kai's experiments were incredibly dangerous, yet she didn't care what happened along the process, as long as she got the results she wanted, even if it meant hurting people in the process. Unlike Kai however, Saya takes a safer approach on her experiments, and when someone else gets affected by such experiments, Saya tries her best to reverse the effects. Eventually, Kai got suspended due to her actions, before returning back as a Seven Prisoner.
Genryumon[]
Ryuuge Kisaki[]
The president of Genryumon, and the one who expelled Kai in the first place. She, as Kai described it, is the person to blame for forcing Kai into the actions she committed. Kai was also responsible for poisoning Kisaki with something so lethal that Saya had to step in and give Kisaki her rejuvenation elixir, resulting in Kisaki's current form, and administering her specific medicine. Eventually, Kisaki came face-to-face with Kai in the Moonlight Dreams event, where Kai tried to use her rejuvenation elixir against Kisaki, but it ended up benefitting her instead, sealing Kai's demise.

Peking Opera Club[]
Urushibara Kaguya[]
During the Five Dusts Fall event, Kaguya worked together with Kai, believing Kai was imprisoned under unfair means due to not following traditions and regulations. Though initially hesitant, she brought Kai back to Shanhaijing so she can be re-imprisoned while following regulations. Unfortunately, things went downhill for her as she also got imprisoned.
