Ogata Kanna (尾刃カンナ) is one of the studying in Valkyrie Police Academy who wields a Handgun.

She is the Captain of the Public Security Bureau or Director of the Public Peace Bureau in Global. Her alias is the "Feral Hound/Mad Dog" (狂犬).

Profile[]

Introduction[]

The captain of Valkyrie's Public Security Bureau. She is an expert at interrogation through the usage of carrot and stick and is good at extracting information out of people. Due to her ruthlessness and willingness to do anything to capture culprits—regardless of the safety of herself or others, she earned the nickname "the Feral Hound" of Valkyrie, though she refuses to let anyone she doesn't trust call her that name. Nevertheless, she is a sincere person deep inside and is willing to acknowledge her mistakes and shortcomings.

Personality[]

Kanna tends to be very serious and ruthless when it comes to solving problems, and she's aware of this. Without her meaning to, she tends to scare other people with her face. She also tries her best to not show her soft side to avoid criminals from looking down on her.

Appearance[]

Kanna has long blonde hair with dog ears (similar to a German Shepherd) and sharp teeth. Her eyes are light blue with the right eye being covered by her bangs.

Halo[]

Kanna has a light blue halo made up of four cubes forming a cross-like shape.

Uniform[]

Kanna wears a police-like uniform consisting of a cyan dress shirt, a short dark blue tie, a police-like jacket, a dark blue police-like skirt, black thighs and short boots.

Firearm[]

She uses a two-tone dark and white Glock 17 pistol with a lavender slide. The KSPD insignia is imprinted on the grips.

Trivia[]

  • Kanna would technically be the first 3* student in Valkyrie if the Rabbit Squad is excluded.
  • Similar to Karin with Thorns from Arknights, Kanna is sometimes paired with Młynar from Arknights due to their similar appearance.
  • In a dev talk, Kanna's illustrator mentioned how he had to design Kanna only going off of a few keywords such as "Valkyrie", "Head of Security", "Feral Hound", and "detective" without any specific setting or information. However, after talking to the person in charge of Kanna, they realized that Kanna was "a middle management character who was both off of field duty and a bit tired of her daily routine", giving them the idea of a character who works in an office. They then made Kanna look like someone who has a lot of corporate experience, but it made her look less Valkyrie-like.[1]
    • Valkyrie is a Norse name, so the illustrator also went with the idea of a "Nordic beauty" with short hair, freckles, etc. [2]
    • One of the illustrator's previous sketches for Kanna was also selected as Kanna's first-year picture.
  • In fan works, Kanna is depicted as a stand-in for police officers.
