Nyanten-maru is a cat. He look like a european cat race. He wears a gray yukata, and over the yukata he wears a gray thin piece of cloth.

- She is based on the legendary warrior and leader, Date Masamune.
- Nyantenmaru's name is based on Masamune's childhood name, Bontenmaru.
- Nyantenmaru's nickname is based on Date Masamune's nickname, the One-Eyed Dragon of Ōshū.
