The Millennium Prize ( is a yearly event that occurs in )Millennium Science School.
General Information[]
The Millennium Prize is a yearly event where the clubs of Millennium showcase an invention or project for all of Millennium and Kivotos to see, with the purpose of awarding students for inventing something practical. Out of all the hundreds of submissions, only 7 will be crowned as the winners.
The last year's winner of the event was Ushio Noa with her "The Meter of Memory", a poem that, though unusual for poetry, was praised as a sure-fire cure for insomnia due to its extended usage of long metaphysical terms.
The current year's Award Ceremony was hosted by Toyomi Kotori, which included several peculiar submissions, such as a toothpaste tube containing cheese, a large missile-equipped umbrella for self defense, a necktie powerbank, optical camoflauge underwear, a portable pencil-case-sized refrigerator that fits exactly one can, and "Tales Saga Chronicles 2", a retro-style mobile game released by the Game Development Department that went viral on the Kivotos network. Somehow, the optical camoflauge underwear, which was made by Shiraishi Utaha from the Engineering Department won seventh place, which Kotori commented received very high ratings for allowing exhibitionists to exercise their hobby with peace of mind. The winner of the first place was the New Material Development Club, but what their invention was was never stated.
Additionally, the current year introduced their first ever "Special Honors", which was awarded to the Game Development Department's "Tales Saga Chronicles 2" as they deemed that practicality was insufficient to describe an interactive experience.
ā | We believe it is a piece of work that truly captures the essence of the RPG genre. It's a game that reminds us why we came to love video games in the first place. | ā |
