Kyouyama Kazusa (杏山カズサ) is one of the students studying in Trinity General School who wields a Machine Gun.

She is a member of the After-School Sweets Club.

Profile[]

Introduction[]

A quiet and easy-going member of the After-School Sweets Club. Kazusa is always getting dragged into whatever strange antics the other club members are up to, but deep down in her kind heart she cherishes those moments.

Personality[]

Kazusa is shown to be an easygoing individual. She cares deeply for her friends and is very aware of how she portrays herself while being out in public.

It is later revealed in A Tale of After-School Sweets that she was a former gang member who was highly revered through the name of Cath Palug. After coincidentally seeing a girl living her life as a normal school girl, Kazusa chose to abandon her ways of a delinquent. She wishes to not bring up her past as she found it embarrassing and believed it to be foolish part of her childhood. If brought up, she is easily embarrassed and irritated (especially at Reisa and Natsu).

Appearance[]

Kazusa has black hair with magenta hair on the inner side. She has what appears to be cat ears that follow the same coloring as her hair. Her eyes are red.

Halo[]

Her halo is a purple snake eye, surrounded by a ring with a thin spike, followed by another ring.

Uniform[]

She wears a standard short skirt uniform. It's white with a navy line across the bottom, and a neck, plus a Trinity logo, also being navy. On top of this, she wears a black hoodie, with white lines along the sleeves, and white accents on the pocket opennings. Her dress is tied in a pink bow over her hoodie. She has a simple black choker around her neck. She wears brown tights, and cyan shoes with black soloes, and heels, white toe caps, collars, and midsoles, and red laces

Firearm[]

She uses a black Bren L4A4 Gun with a pink stock, grip, and carrying handle. The Trinity emblem is imprinted on the receiver.

Trivia[]

  • She is the first character to receive a design change despite already making an appearance in-game.
    • Her design change was given with her banner release.
  • Her nickname when she was a gangster was "Cath Palug"
    • In Welsh legend, Cath Palug was a monstrous cat that terrorized the isle of Anglesey before being put down by Cai (Sir Kay) under the orders of King Arthur, losing 9 scores (180) of soldiers during the battle.
      • In alternate tellings, King Arthur himself slayed the cat.
    • Its etymology is unclear, which is why there are a variety of translations of its name, including:
      • Palug's cat
      • Clawing cat
      • Bog cat
  • Her unique equipment, Mabinogion, is named after a collection of British prose stories of the same name.
    • NEXON also has a game called "Mabinogi" which has been operating for twenty years.
  • In a dev talk, one of the developers brought up the fact Kazusa used to be a bully in the past. Another developer who was responsible for writing her scenario explained how he didn't want to describe or show anything regarding Kazusa's past as it was not part of her event's story. He also expected a lot of people to want to know about her backstory, but he didn't expect so much. Currently, her backstory remains inside his imagination with him claiming that he'll talk about it again in the future.[1]
  • Both Kazusa and Kikyou have cat traits and showed romantic feelings for Sensei. This resulted in the two being depicted as rivals in fan works.
