Mai has short brown hair tied into two loose braid pigtails, tied at the ends with an orange band. She has light green eyes and wears black half-rim glasses.

Mai wears a white dress shirt with cyan sides, a white pleated skirt with cyan sides, a white sailor ribbon, a cyan sailor collar, and a black jacket with a yellow bandana around her left arm. Additionally, she wears an orange thigh-high sock on her left leg and a white knee pad with the Kronos logo embedded on it on the right leg. She usually carries around a black bag and a reporter camera with her.
