Arius Squad

Hakari Atsuko

Saori is a close friend and an "Elder sister" complex looking after all those in Arius squad and especially Atsuko, Saori has a familiar like bond and cares deeply for Atsuko willing to do anything to keep her and the rest of the squad safe. Most of Saori's actions are based off her goal to protect Atsuko, one of them being her mission to take over Gehenna and Trinity with the belief that this mission's success will not only save Atsuko from being sacrificed, but the rest of Arius as well.

Imashino Misaki

Compared to the other Arius Squad members, Misaki is arguably the toughest for Saori to take care of because of Misaki's multiple suicide attempts. Saori even had to put Misaki to sleep to prevent her from taking her own life away.

Tsuchinaga Hiyori

As much as Hiyori finds Saori scary when it comes to training, it was Saori that comforted Hiyori the most. Saori was responsible for taking care of Hiyori despite how different she is compared to the normalcy in Arius.

Supplementary Lessons Department

Shirasu Azusa

Azusa was the last member of the Arius Squad before she moved to the Supplementary Lessons Department in Trinity. She used to be one of the two students who ever disobeyed Beatrice's orders, the other being Saori. Similar to the rest of the Arius Squad, Saori couldn't just leave Azusa to be punished so severely, so she proposed to take care of Azusa and train her. Azusa has been under Saori's wing ever since, until the events of Volume 3 unfolded.

Misono Mika

Saori first met Mika during her visit to the Arius District. Mika headed there in hopes that Arius and Trinity can reconcile and let bygones be bygones. Unfortunately, due to Beatrice's interference, Mika was instead corrupted and forced into following Her plans to betray Trinity. With all the extra stuff going on, Mika went insane and blamed Saori for everything. After a few confrontations with her, both of them saw the world in a different perspective and regretted everything they've done. Mika would forgive Saori and the Arius Squad, stating that she will pray for them.

Igusa Haruka

After the Beatrice incident, Saori decided to work at the black market. She was confronting her boss since her payment was not as what's promised. Haruka appeared in the middle of the conversation and wanted to talk to the boss regarding his contract with PS68. She then decided to blew up the office while Saori stood there, now believing that this is how the real world works.

Beatrice

Arius' student council president who assumed control after ending the Arius civil war. Beatrice made a deal with Saori, stating that if Saori was able to claim the power of mimesis and take over both Gehenna and Trinity, not only Beatrice will let go of Atsuko, but she will also let go of every Arius student. Unfortunately, Saori was betrayed by Beatrice and can only beg to Sensei for help.

The only person Saori could come to after being exiled from Arius and chased by Arius soldiers. Saori begged that Sensei help her save Atsuko. She was even willing to give her life away if it meant that Atsuko can be saved.

After plenty of years being under Beatrice's command, Saori has a hard time understanding how the real world works now that Beatrice is gone. Therefore, she turns to Sensei to help her with getting used to things or with things out of her control, such as making a bank account which requires her school information or a co-signer. Since she's never done this, things that should've been simple or a normal thing, such as reading, making, or signing contracts becomes troubling for her, which led to Sensei wanting to help her out even though Saori doesn't want to trouble them.
