Non-Gameplay[]
How Many Versions of the Game?[]
Blue Archive has 3 distinct game versions currently.
- JP version, launched February 2021 is exclusive for players in Japan and will be the first to receive latest game contents. They are published by YOSTAR.
- Global version, launched November 2021 is the version that is available worldwide by default, however access is blocked in Japan and China (except Hong Kong and Macau) and a few other countries.
- Global (Teen) version is a separate build of the Global version that is tailored for younger Senseis, with stricter control. The version is only available if any sensei are below the age threshold for the normal version in the app stores (depending of region it can be either 19 or 17).
- CN version only for China market, and by default is accessible by those having People's Republic of China citizens (except Hong Kong and Macau SAR citizens). This version is published by YOSTAR.
- This version has stricter content controls due to China regulation of games, such as sprite modifications and term changes. The ID requirement also make rerolling impossible in this version.
What Language Does the Game Supports?[]
The game supports different languages, subbed and dubbed depending on the version you have played.
- JP supports only Japanese language and contains only Japanese voices.
- Global supports English, Korean, Thai and Traditional Chinese, and all of them are switchable in game. The version also contains Japanese and Korean voices which is also switchable.
- CN supports only Simplified Chinese for texts, however the game provides both Mandarin and Japanese voices for all characters.
- CN version also includes voices for main stories (which is not voiced otherwise in other versions), but only in Mandarin.

Is There Any Difference in Game Contents for the Versions?[]
By default, JP contains the latest possible contents for the game including its features, characters, stories and events.
Global version is always 6 months behind JP for all contents, and most of it will be implemented in the same pattern like how it is in JP. On top of JP features, Global will also feature "web events" exclusive for the version.
CN is 2 years behind in terms of contents and features. The implementation could be faster for some events and features, however they will still follow the rough sequences of implementation. CN also contains some exclusive web based mini games.
Is Other Regional Versions Playable for All?[]
It is possible for all teachers to play all three instances of the game (JP, Global and CN) with some workarounds (despite both Global and JP is geo-blocked by both stores and CN requires ID verification that is mainly for China citizens).
However, for overseas teachers, other application versions can be downloaded from:
- Android:
- QooApp for JP version. QooApp is reliable as they provide store updates of the versions of the game.
- QooApp for Global version, in case teachers from Japan or China or other blocked countries wanted to play the Global version.
- BiliBili for CN (Android only) for non-PRC teachers who wanted to try CN version, as BiliBili provides registration leeways for non-China players.
Teachers can refer to this installation guide for instructions to register and play in all versions.

Daily Reset Times[]
For JP, the game follows the Japanese time (JST, GMT+9) and it can be seen on the bottom right of the menu.
- 04:00 ~ This is the game's daily reset time and will reset various functions such as Shop, Schedule, Fugitive Warrant, Hard Mission and first batch of students visiting the Cafe. Total War and Joint Firepower Exercise rounds also will be reset at this time during any of their active sessions, and new tickets will be distributed for Great Decisive Battle
- 14:00 ~ Daily reward for Tactical Competition.
- 16:00 ~ Visiting student reset. The second batch of students will visit the Cafe.
- 18:00 ~ At this time, one of the Achievement will be automatically complete.
Virtually, these times can also be applied to Global version as the base time of the version is based on Korean Standard Time (GMT+9). However converted time display applies to any local time set based on regions played by teachers, but the time set is uniform across regions otherwise. Some regions, especially Western ones might found the time happened before the date change.
CN version has these times applies entirely following the China Standard Time (GMT+8). The time displayed will remain the same as JP, just those will happen following China time, which is an hour late than Japan or Korea Time. .
Weekly Reset Times[]
There are also weekly reset time that is applied by default in some matters of the game, content and achievement wise. In JP:
- Monday at 04:00~ is where Weekly Achievements cycle resets.
- Wednesday at 04:00~ is when any 2x/3x campaign may start and ends.
- Wednesday at 11:00~ is commonly when weekly contents put on reset by default. At this time, any Event and gacha banners that has reached its last day will be closed, and new contents (Events, banners, stories updates, and new session of raids) will start to be available in the game. This depends if there are maintenances occurring in this period, which normally starts at the same time too.
- Some events may start on different days. However, many of those also commonly starts on 11:00 on the said day.
In Global, campaign and content reset times are usually scheduled a day earlier. The same time would applied to the version due to the same reason with daily resets. However, each localised channels uses their own local time in their schedule, aside from English version's UTC which usually make the schedules to look like:
- Monday at 19:00 (UTC)/Tuesday at 04:00 (KR)/03:00 (TW)/02:00 (TH) for campaign resets
- Tuesday at 02:00 (UTC)/11:00 (KR)/10:00 (TW)/09:00 (TH) for content resets (if no maintenance occurs)
However just like Daily Reset, rest assured that all times given are uniform across regions and time difference in the Global channels are just used as a localised reference only.
In CN, campaign and content reset will be happening on a Thursday instead, following the China time (GMT+8):
- Thursday at 04:00~ for campaign resets
- Thursday at 14:00~ for content resets
Maintenance[]
Regular Maintenance usually occurs once every 2 weeks on Tuesday (Global) and Wednesday (Japan) around 11:00 to 18:00 (JP and KR time). In CN, maintenance happens commonly on 14:00 Thursday onwards.
Teachers should check the Official JP Twitter or Official Global Twitter for announcements, including maintenance period which can be shortened or extended by further notice.
Account Transfer[]
Teachers can transfer their account from one device to another. Teachers will require their Game User ID and Linkage Code that can be found in "Device Linkage Code (ććć¤ć¹éé£ęŗć³ć¼ć)" under "Account (ć¢ć«ć¦ć³ć)".
