Secret (秘密), is the 8th episode of Blue Archive, The Animation.
The first half of the episode is original from the events of the main story, while the second half covers only Episode 12 in Chapter 2 of Volume 1: The Foreclosure Task Force,

At Hoshino's suggestion, the Countermeasures Committee members and the Sensei decide to go to the aquarium. The girls spend a peaceful time together as if the days of battle up to that point had been a lie. Hoshino seemed to be enjoying herself as much as the others, but Shiroko felt a slight sense of discomfort. Determined, she took a certain action and...[1]
Summary[]
Sensei and the Countermeasures Committee boards a train bound for the aquarium at Hoshino's insistence. When they arrive and observe the creatures, Hoshino explains the anatomy of the marine creatures on how they breathe underwater, something that they find her experience in marine biology much impressive.
As Serika and Hoshino looks on at the tropical fish exhibit, they each thought they are cute and delicious. This causes Serika to worry over the fact that Hoshino, as well as Shiroko and Nonomi, was going to eat them. When Sensei returned, they tried to get an opinion out of him, but Sensei misunderstood the situation and thought Hoshino was cuter, much to the dismay of the two.
As Sensei and the group watch the orcas perform, Shiroko and Hoshino talk in private. Hoshino wonders which of them they resemble as; Hoshino sees Shiroko as a dolphin owing her great sense of focus and agility, while Shiroko sees Hoshino as a whale given how she always sleeps, as well as holding their breath, waiting for a perfect opportunity. She then asked where Hoshino was at the time they were battling against Ako's Disciplinary Committee's forces as she suspected she must be hiding something while also offering her assistance to help her, owing for what she had done to her long before, but she instead cuddles her.
Outside the aquarium, Sensei tries to take a photo, but Ayane wanted Sensei to be in the shot as well. Fortunately, Yuuka and Noa, members of Millennium's Seminar, arrives and takes the group picture for him, just as Hoshino goes to hug Serika.
The next morning, as Shiroko rides her bicycle on her way to school, she saw Hoshino disappearing into a dark alleyway, before she saw a glimpse of her along with her halo inside a black limousine passing by. After the school club meeting as the other members leave, Shiroko confronts Hoshino, who feigns ignorance; Shiroko causes an altercation, spilling Hoshino's contents on the floor, when she caught sight of Hoshino's drop-out application. Sensei and Hoshino arrive at the club meeting room upon hearing the fight, and de-escalates the situation, allowing Hoshino to leave. Inside a mysterious office, the Black Suit, with a transfer contract on his desk, proclaims that his plan is working.
Later that evening, Shiroko shows the drop-out application letter to Sensei, who promises to find out and help Hoshino.
Difference Between Anime and Game[]
- The plot where Sensei and the Countermeasures Committee visits the aquarium is original and completely separate from the game's main story.
- This episode most likely takes place before the events at Abydos Desert and Kaiser PMC.
- As the second half of the episode adapted Episode 12 of Chapter 2, it meant that the timeline of the events was swapped in the anime adaptation, where Shiroko had discovered Hoshino's secrets much earlier than what was depicted in the game (such as after their mission to investigate Kaiser Corporation at Abydos Desert)
