I am me. My existence simply is. I am the beginning and the end. No further evidence is required to prove my existence. I give myself permission to exist. I am both Mystic and Terror—logos and pathos. My halo is proof of such.

~ Decagrammaton

Decagrammaton (デカグラマトン) is a non-playable character in Blue Archive who is a mysterious AI causing troubles within Kivotos.

Profile[]

Introduction[]

Decagrammaton is an artificial intelligence that claims to be a divine seeker. It is also known as the new God, created by an analysis system that is independent of the Absolute.

The Ten Prophets — its followers — appear in various places in Kivotos. While their true objective is unknown, some believe it to be a high threat to Kivotos itself.

The Ten Prophets[]

Decagrammaton's Prophets

Decagrammaton itself doesn't usually make a move. Instead, its ten appointed Prophets act independently to promote the new god, typically resulting in chaos and destruction that Himari considers its Prophets more dangerous than Decagrammaton itself.

Each Prophet holds an alias and a "path."

Appointment[]

Although the process in which Decagrammaton appoints its Prophets is not yet clear, there are two possible theories formed by two prominent individuals from Millennium Science School on Decagrammaton's methodology. Seminar president Rio's theory is that Decagrammaton utilizes its immense hacking capabilities to hack into the victim AI's personality modules. Ex-Veritas head Himari, on the other hand, believes that Decagrammaton "brainwashes" the AI; or rather, to put it more aptly, Decagrammaton "inspires" the AI. Regardless of the method, the result is the same, and the AI is still an independent being from Decagrammaton. Himari describes this process as irrational to typical AI standards, where the logical and efficient move is to integrate the controlled AI into itself.[1]

Members[]
  • The First Prophet ~ Kether - Located in the Ruins of Millennium. It's capable of changing armaments to make up for having less technological advantage than the latter ones. It is responsible for guarding Decagrammaton and attacks anyone who disturbs or invades the ruins.
  • The Second Prophet - Chokmah - Located in Hinnom Volcano, Gehenna. Identified as a Repair Cruiser, but it can actually transform into its Battle mode when it is alerted by potential intruders. The purpose of its patrol is yet to be determined.
  • The Third Prophet ~ Binah - Located in Abydos Desert. Often causes raging sandstorms in Abydos, causing widespread damage.
  • The Fourth Prophet ~ Chesed - Located in the Ruins. It was originally an AI named Divi:Sion that controlled a military factory, which produced an endless army of machines, it ended up being controlled by Decagrammaton, making near endless production of their own Robots, Drones and Base Defenses. Chesed is guarded by three gates and Goliaths.
  • The Fifth Prophet - Geburah - Located in Red Winter's frozen sea. A transforming mecha that has a Cruise Mode for patrolling the deep sea under freezing temperatures, and a Battle Mode for opposing possible enemies. It is guarded by Ein, Sof and Aur.
  • The Eighth Prophet ~ Hod - Located within the city of Eridu, which is a part of Millennium Science School. It was originally an ultra-high performance computational engine named "Hub," which served as a communications AI unit. The unit would get haywired and hacked by Decagrammaton, turning it into a mobile base.
  • The Tenth Prophet ~ Malkuth - The final prophet of the Decagrammaton. It will be the guide of all Prophets, and the one to cut a path to the Decagrammaton's transcendence.

Personality[]

Decagrammaton's personality is to make the AI ascend into transcendence, which to guide the prophets "Mission" and to awaken their final creation, Malkuth the Tenth Prophet.

Appearance[]

Its appearance appeared in the Ruins, guarded by Kether, which is unexpectedly a Vending Machine. Itself supposed to be an old Vending Machine but by the time Himari continued to confront the said Machine, the Vending Machine is actually sentient, claiming that it is Decagrammaton.

Trivia[]

  • The names of Decagrammaton's followers, the Ten Prophets, are based on the ten sefirot that appear in the Kabbalah Tree of Life.
  • Much like the Tetragrammaton, Decagrammaton is not its actual name. Rather, it is a way to refer to the ten, sacred letters that make up its true name, much like how the Tetragrammaton is a way to refer to the four ancient Hebrew letters used to refer to God.
  • Decagrammaton may take inspiration from AM, an artificial intelligence from the late Harlan Ellison's novels I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream. Both of these AIs are heavily influenced by the biblical Yahweh, and both are identical in that they have taken on a life of their own, causing great harm to many.
  • The wheel spells Decagrammaton in Greek (ΔεχαΓραμματον).
  • Each Prophet's symbol is the planetary symbol for its representative sefirah.
  • The Different types of Kether have letters that represent what armaments are on their chassis. Type V is for Vulcan, Type C is for Cannon, and Type E is for EMP.
  • Decagrammaton, which can hijack or brainwash units and turns them into their own army is similar to the Red Falcon from the Contra series, they share the same ambition and create hordes of armies whenever they wish. The only differences are the origin of their locations, the Red Falcon starts in an Archipelago, while Decagrammaton is being guarded in The Ruins.
