Countermeasures Committee
The Countermeasures Committee (対策委員会) or Foreclosure Task Force on Global is one of and perhaps the only "School Club" in Abydos High School.

General Information[]
The Countermeasures Committee is the de facto school council of Abydos High School that was formed with the goal of persevering the school as well as the areas around Abydos itself. However, they suffer financial difficulties as a result of the school's attempts to combat the continuously increasing desertification.
Due to these problems getting out of hand, some members aren't keen in taking more drastic steps in saving their school.
Note: Due to the club's name having the exact same name with Volume 1's title, other pages in the wikia may refer to the club with either "The Foreclosure Task Force/FTC" or "Countermeasures Committee" while Volume 1 will mostly be referred to as either "Volume 1" or "Abydos Arc".
This club is the main focus of the Abydos Arc, The Foreclosure Task Force. During the Volume, Sensei was tasked by Okusora Ayane to help them regarding the relentless raid from the local Helmet Gang which was later found out to be working under Kaiser PMC, eventually also discovering about Abydos' debt, the school's history, and Takanashi Hoshino's business, including the obnoxious offers she's been receiving.
They made a return in the late part of Chapter 3 in the Trinity Arc where they helped Ajitani Hifumi and Sensei and played a supporting role throughout Vol. F.
After that, they become the focus again at Chapter 3 of the Abydos Arc.
They are the main group of Abydos Resort Restoration Committee. They are also featured in Handyman 68's New Year Rhapsody and Momoyodou Beach Bar Franchising Plan.

V1C3: Footprints left by Dreams is another focus about the Committee, but with the involvement of Yume, who was still missing, and Hoshino's guilt and memories are coming back under the influence of the Underground Dweller. Sensei was also involved in this chapter, considering the explosion happened on Schale but survived without getting unscatched. The memories of Nonomi and Shiroko were also in the chapter, which includes Nonomi's past, hearing rumors about the death of Yume. The chapter also starts about the debt, the escalating conflict between Saint Nepthys, Highlander Railroad Academy and Kaiser Corporation (with all of the groups this time). The situation escalates as Asagiri Suou abducted Nonomi. Ayane's argument with Hoshino had gone awry and started to fight the committee, with no avail she succeeded and begins her pursuit to save Nonomi. the Highlander Academy also had discussions with the Kaiser Corporation, it turns out Kaiser Corporation were also backstabbing the Railroad Academy with no avail, but the Countermeasures Committee helped the Railroad Academy from the clutches of the Corporation and their greedy deeds. Hoshino finishes off the rest of the Kaiser Corporation and went to her own and pursuing Asagiri Suou, whom which is ready to activate Shemata, a rail cannon that has a system that is not from Kivotos. Just in time the Countermeasures committee also arrived on time and the Shemata hasn't still been activated and Suou has been defeated by the hands of Hoshino, however... it wasn't only Suou who is after, but rather take use of Shemata and the Countermeasures began their attempt to stop her but failed with no avail, Sensei's last option is calling Sorasaki Hina to stop Hoshino's advance.
History[]
Abydos Student Council[]
Prior to the start of Volume 1, Abydos has its own Student Council which manages affairs in the once-gigantic school. However, as the school shrinks in size, so does the members, and it leaves the last known members to be only Kuchinashi Yume, the president and Takanashi Hoshino, the vice president, the only students in Abydos later on.
Due to the demise of Yume, the president position is vacant and leaves Hoshino as its only member, and is considered paralyzed as Hoshino does not take over the leadership for some reason. However the old Student Council remains recognized as an official body of the school even until the events of Volume 1.
Countermeasures Committee[]
As newer students like Nonomi, Shiroko, Ayane and Serika enrolls into the school, they alongside Hoshino formed the Committee mainly to help sort out issues plaguing the school like the enormous debts with Kaiser, taking over from the inactive student council. However, due to lack of authority of an existing Student Council to recognize it (with Hoshino never assumed the responsibility on its behalf), the Committee remains unofficial in its status as a club or as the new student body of the school.
This provides inconvenience when dealing with other organisation, especially with Kaiser where only the original Student Council is recognised to actually negotiate over their debt matters. However as the Chapter 2 ends, the club now received recognition from SCHALE as both an official club and the working Student Council of Abydos.
With Shiroko Terror (the Shiroko in another timeline) involved, it is now official that the Abydos is now a Student Council than a regular club.
