Adult (大人) is a pretty common term used amongst the residents of Kivotos.
General Information[]
The term "adult" is mostly pretty straightforward and similar to its real life meaning. It means a person who is grown up, mature, or fully developed; a person who's lived life past a certain period, meaning they have more experience and understanding about how life works. The only difference however is that, besides humans, adults in Kivotos include, but not limited to, various types of animals, automata, and certain eldritch humanoid beings.
Although the majority of Kivotos' inhabitants consist of students who control and tend to their respective schools, adults can normally be found throughout the Academy City, either selling products in their stalls, serving customers in stores, and other places where you'd normally see an adult be in in real life.

The statement implies that the students of Kivotos are in fact children, different than the adults of Kivotos, similar to real life.
Sensei[]
The first adult introduced in the game. They were chosen as the club president of SCHALE who will be aiding the academies that reside in Kivotos. Although they aren't the only adult in Kivotos, they seem to be the only known human adult in Kivotos, with other adults being either animals or robots, with a few being unknown monster-like beings.
Master Shiba[]
The second adult who appears to be a dog. He originally owned a ramen shop before it blew up, now he owns a ramen stall.
Kaiser PMC Director[]
The third adult and the first antagonistic adult introduced in the game. Appearing as a male robot. The director of Kaiser PMC, chief executive of Kaiser Corporation and Abydos High School's creditor.
Gematria[]
A mysterious group consisting of four different adults with their own history and purposes who worked together for the name of research. Although it's unclear where they originate from, they claim themselves to be adults, much like Sensei. Black Suit, one of their members, believe that adults are those who are supposed to exploit those without knowledge and power, or in other words, students, to do their bidding, which contrasts Sensei's belief that adults are those who are supposed to be responsible for these poor students and is construed by Sensei as evil.
